Student Conduct and Community Standards

What We Do

We maintain University standards.

The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards responds to potential allegations of academic and non-academic violations of the behavioral standards and other University regulations, while respecting and protecting the rights and privileges of you, our students.

The educational foundation upon which the disciplinary process is based promotes responsible conduct by holding you accountable for your behavior and its impact on the campus community. Responses to findings of misconduct are intended to be educational, providing you with vehicles for growth and development and, whenever possible, allowing for responsible membership in the University community.

Our staff collaborates with partners across the University, such as the Office of Residential Life and Housing, the Department of Public Safety and Transportation, the Student Counseling Center, and Title IX staff to fulfill our mission. Residential Life and Housing staff, chiefly Residence Hall Directors, respond to potential allegations of non-academic violations that occur within the University’s residence halls.
